Mizner Park sets the scene perfectly for why Boca Raton dogs need real training. The outdoor piazzas fill up on weekend evenings with hundreds of people dining alfresco, and virtually everyone brings their dog. A dog with leash reactivity, jumping problems, or the inability to hold a down-stay for five minutes simply can't participate in that Boca lifestyle. We train for Mizner Park specifically — the foot traffic, the proximity of other dogs, the outdoor dining situations — because that's where Boca owners actually want to be.
Spanish River Park's Atlantic beach access is one of the best rewards you can give a well-trained Boca dog. The problem is that many dogs in Boca have never been given the off-leash reliability to enjoy it safely. Beach recall — solid enough to stop a dog mid-sprint toward the water when a pelican drops in — is a specific training goal we address for every Boca client who wants beach freedom. For the gated communities of Boca West and Boca del Mar, the challenge is often very different — large lots, low external stimulation, and dogs that have been over-indulged without any real structure. These dogs can be the most surprising behavior cases: beautiful, well-bred dogs that have never been asked to do anything, so they default to whatever behavior gets them what they want.
